203: The Power of Support for Small Business Owners with Ibrahima Souare and Tamekia Flowers-Ball
Small businesses are so powerful — especially when they get the support they need. To illustrate this, I was joined by a representative from an incredible organization that mentors entrepreneurs, as well as a business owner/mentee who participated in their program.
Ibrahima Souare is the Executive Director of New York Professional Advisors for Community Entrepreneurs (NYPACE) a fast-growing non-profit organization that offers pro-bono advisory and consulting services to local small-business owners from under-resourced communities such as in the New York City area.
Tamekia Flowers-Ball is the Chief Executive Officer of Epiphany Blue, a minority and woman-owned professional event planning and management firm that produces engaging in-person, virtual, and hybrid events designed to entertain, educate, and empower.
In this episode, we discussed:
NYPACE’s mission
Tamekia’s experience at NYPACE with her business, Epiphany Blue
How NYPACE continues supporting the small businesses that complete their program
Qualities of the most successful small business owners and entrepreneurs
The ripple effects of small business entrepreneurs’ success
Who would be a good candidate to work with NYPACE
And more
