13: Authenticity as an Obligation (life in the age of social media)
On today's episode of Making Good, I defend my belief that we all have an obligation to be authentic on social media.
Social media has created a lot of opportunity in the world -- but we can probably all agree it has it's downsides. So how do we make sure we have a positive impact on social media? I believe it's through authenticity.
How do we make sure we’re being authentic online?
Be mindful that every follower is a living, breathing, FEELING human being.
Review your content with a critical eye before posting.
Celebrate your highlights with a sense of possibility.
Find ways to show your humanity
In sum, constantly look to answer the question:
How do I want people to feel when they come across my account on social media?
