31: My Thoughts on Thanksgiving
I have tried to plan episodes in advance for the most part, but I’ve really been stuck debating this episode and what to do about it.
It occurred to me this morning that maybe the best thing to do is to let you in on my thought process so you know exactly where I’m coming from.
Here are my conflicting thoughts:
This is Thanksgiving week, and I do believe that really getting intentional on the people and other parts of life we’re grateful for is important - particularly in a year as tough as this one has been.
The more I learn about Thanksgiving, the less I believe it’s something from our past that we should celebrate.
I’ve been trying to decide which way to take this episode, and I’m just now realizing that I think the best approach is to hold space for both.
In this episode we talk about Thanksgiving, and some ways we can honor the people who were here first. I’ll share some resources that I’d encourage you to share with your audience to raise awareness. And then, I’m also going to share some of the things I’m most grateful for (spoiler alert: you are one of them!)
